Position Description: Vocera is looking for an intern, Test Engineering to join our team as part of our summer internship program. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and develop your analysis, software development, and communication skills by working closely with mentors from both test and software engineering teams to design and develop code for test automation and automation tools. Youll work with cutting-edge technology while learning skills that are valuable to engineering organizations around the world. The internship is designed for individuals who have are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university and who will be continuing their studies in the fall.

Responsibilities:
  • Learn to analyze requirements and determine system specifications and minimum acceptable product standards
  • Participate in each phase of software development to create tools for the execution of real-world tests for enterprise software
  • Estimate time to complete engineering tasks and participating in the Agile Process
  • Take your own ideas and turn them into useable solutions that benefit your team

  • Well organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate and error-free
  • Self-motivated and aptitude to learn quickly
  • Positive attitude and work ethic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong sense of professionalism
  • Knowledge of Python or other object-oriented programming language

Requirements:
  • Candidates should be seeking a bachelors or advanced degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Able to work independently at times and dedicate a minimum of 20 hours/week
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your employment and criminal history
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
