Title:MedSSI: Biomed Equipment TechBelong, Connect, Grow with KBR!PROGRAM SUMMARY:The Diplomatic Platform Support Services (DiPSS) works in support of the Department of State to provide medical support services. The primary scope of this program is to execute medical support services at the United States Embassy and adjacent facilities in the Middle East.POSITION SUMMARY: The Biomed Equipment Tech develops devices and procedures that solve medical and health related problems, combining biology, medicine, and engineering. .RESPONSIBILITIES:

Installing, conducting electrical safety checks, performing routine maintenance, running performance tests, and completing both major and minor repairs on medical equipment in designated areas.

This role involves operating advanced testing equipment and instruments for inspections, performance evaluations, and scheduled maintenance or repairs of medical devices.

The data gathered from these tests is reviewed and may be compiled into reports.

Possesses in-depth knowledge of medical equipment commonly used in general care settings.

Must be qualified to provide maintenance and services to calibrate all medical equipment, including CT scanners (government-furnished equipment and Contractor medical equipment) within their assigned region.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High school degree, associate degree (preferred)

Coursework/Training in Electronics Technology, Military or Technical Training Or equivalent educ/experience

5–7 years of experience (i.e., military training, technical school, etc.)

Must be able to lift 50lbs

Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U. S. Driver's License.

Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 13 months of remaining validity AND 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently

Candidates must also meet CENTCOM MOD (Fit for Duty) theater requirements.

Must provide maintenance and services to calibrate all medical equipment, including CT scanners (government-furnished equipment and Contractor medical equipment) within their assigned region.

Must currently possess or be able to obtain prior to being hired as is required for this position a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance and/or a favorable USG Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT). Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance or certification level for the duration of the task order.

Provides radiation protection to the patient, technologist and anyone else in the area, utilizing PPE and other guidelines as needed. Recognizes emergent situations and activates assistance as needed. Assists other areas and shifts as needed. Education Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. (Encourage CT ARRT certification.) Licensed with the Indiana State Board of Health. CPR Certification. Experience Previous experience in CT preferred, but not required, or previous experience in a similar role .
