An Active US Government Security Clearance is RequiredOur client is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer based in Indianapolis, IN.The Senior Software Engineer uses and provides creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems using modern DevOps/Agile process and tools. The development team will work closely with Systems Engineers to design ideal solutions with the end user and operational needs in mind. Software engineers will work in a DevOps environment employing techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Driven Development (TDD), Automated Functional Testing, and Pair Programming throughout the software development lifecycle. Developers are required to apply various technologies including C#, C, Java, XML, XAML, JUnit, Jira, and many others.Responsibilities:

Take a narrowly defined or ambiguously defined capability and translate it into a reusable open source software application which interfaces to WinTAK or ATAK using new technology, innovation, and creativity

Responsible for performing development, integration, test and documentation duties in a DevOps environment to ensure proper operation of the software platform

Be able to work in agile environment using test driven development (TDD) and paired programming.

Develop software, tailor reusable software, and integrate software components on virtual machines or target hardwareRequirements:

4 or more years of software development, integration, and test

Programming skills: C#, Java, and/or C

Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object Oriented Design (OOD) skills

Knowledge of Android, Windows, and/or Linux operating system concepts

Knowledge and understanding of agile software development

Strong oral and written communication skills; able to work closely in a multi-discipline team on a daily basis.

May occasionally need to travel for customer meetings, integration, and installationsAdditional Job Details / Desired Skills: ATAK or WinTAK operational or development experience Android development experience UAS and PCAS domain experience Experience and knowledge related to one or more specific technologies or domains: o Mission planning o Situational Awareness o Mapping tools Experience with requirements and use case analysis Experience with scripting (Ruby, Perl, Python, PHP, etc.) Experience with agile (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, SAFe, eXtreme Programming, etc) Experience and/or knowledge with DevOps and Continuous Integration Experience and/or knowledge with an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) like Android Studio, Eclipse, MS Visual Studio, and Team Foundation Server Experience and/or knowledge with one or more databases (e.g. SQLite) Experience with Automated Testing and Automated Test FrameworksThis is a contingent/temporary position offered through Volt Workforce Solutions.
