Job Title: Civil CAD TechnicianJob DescriptionCommonwealth Engineering is looking for a Civil CAD Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will collaborate with project engineers on design activities, support Senior CAD specialists with 2D and 3D designs, prepare engineering drawings for construction, assist with quantity take-offs, and develop GIS figures. You will prepare water and wastewater construction drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D and work with Civil Project Engineers and Project Managers on design activities related to water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems. Additionally, you will prepare report figures for projects, assist in fieldwork when needed (construction inspection and oversight, surveying), and support other related engineering and design needs as they arise.Hard Skills
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Civil Drafting experience
Experience in Land Survey, Site Development, Land Development, Road, Highway, Transportation, Water Resources (Grading, Drainage), Water/Wastewater system design (pipes and plants)
Create, edit, view, and analyze surfaces
Create and edit alignments
Create sites, profiles, and cross-sections
Create grading solutions
Create gravity-fed and pressure pipe networks
Use plan production tools to create plan and profile sheets
