Job Title: Dry Room OperatorJob DescriptionThe Dry Room Operator will be responsible for the steps in the electrode manufacturing process to create high-quality anode and cathode electrodes. As the heart and soul of the battery, the electrode requires a technician who is dexterous and detail-oriented. The primary responsibility will be managing the drying process after the electrode is coated, which is heavily automated and mostly a button-pushing job. This role involves understanding the process capabilities through design of experiments and data analysis, developing and optimizing process conditions for new materials, recipes, and designs, leading new process development from pilot scale validation to mass production scale-up, and driving a multi-functional team to solve complex technical problems using first principles and data-driven methodologies.Responsibilities
Operate and troubleshoot the dry room operations.
Understand process capabilities through design of experiments and data analysis.
Develop and optimize process conditions for new materials, recipes, and designs.
Lead new process development from pilot scale validation to mass production scale-up.
Drive a multi-functional team to solve complex technical problems using first principles and data-driven methodologies.
Perform quality checks on in-process and finished products.
Operate mechanical slitter, calender, coater, or punching equipment.
Essential Skills
Machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience troubleshooting automated machines.
Responsibility for in-process and finished product quality in manufacturing.
Ability to stand on feet all day.
Ability to lift 50lbs as needed and perform bending, squatting, and lifting in a general manufacturing sense.
Experience with slitter machine, punch press operation, and assembly line production.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience operating mechanical slitter, calender, coater, or punching equipment.
Attention to detail.
Experience in a cleanroom environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of hand tools and inspection processes.

The facility is temperature-controlled to some extent, but some areas may reach around 75 degrees in the middle of summer. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule, Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm.
