Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer will support the development and manufacturing of lithium-ion cells, focusing on documenting the current process of record, working with other Engineers and Technicians to identify areas for improvement, conducting experiments to validate identified solutions, and implementing those solutions alongside Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance staff. This role requires experience with standardized manufacturing practices, a willingness to understand ‘why’ something is, and the ability to coordinate improvements with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, improving, and maintaining the processes critical to lithium-ion cell production.RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for leading process development, optimization and scale-up activities for the manufacturing of li-ion cells and their upstream sub-assembliesLead planning and installation of new manufacturing equipment and qualification processes.Map, document, and analyze existing processes to understand current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and provide actionable insights for optimization which allows for efficiency, quality, scalability, and waste reductionCollect, interpret, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for continuous process improvementSupports process improvement initiatives and projects. Leads initiatives as assigned; Audit and report on the effectiveness of previously implemented improvementsInform and train affected technicians on new processesDevelop and execute test plans and cases to validate changes, ensuring they meet requirements and expectations. Report on testing outcomes and recommend adjustments as necessaryProvide feedback to design engineering in regard to manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA) of core EnPower products
