About The Role:As a Digital Product Designer in the Incubation Lab, you'll blend creativity with design expertise to create digital experiences that seamlessly integrate form and function. Working collaboratively with other designers, strategists and business partners, our Digital Product Designers blend experience design, visual design, and prototyping expertise to envision new digital solutions. As a creative at Lilly, you'll also help evolve our design practice, contributing ideas that shape culture, enhance collaboration and improve the experience for all designers.Responsibilities
Define the mood, tone, look, and feel to position future products and services, translating that direction into high-quality experience prototypes that are intuitive and enjoyable to use.
Elevate and maintain our design standards through direct contribution across a wide range of design outputs and mediums, from designing consumer apps to bringing a patient journey to life with visual storytelling.
Demonstrate a high level of accountability, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to prioritize resource workload to efficiently deliver results.
Present and persuasively communicate design rationale across stakeholder groups at various levels, including internal teams and external vendors and partners.
Bring an attention to detail and a passion for all aspects of design and visual storytelling including typography, motion, copy, and art direction.
Understand component-based design systems and have the ability to determine when to adhere to existing patterns and styles and when break constraints.
Embrace a learning and growth mindset that contributes positively to a culture of critique, collaboration and honest reflection.
Basic Qualifications/ Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Design, such as Digital Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communication Designer, Human Computer Interaction or a similar field. Equivalent practical experience is also acceptable.
5+ years of experience in design, specifically for digital mediums.
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States;

Exceptional portfolio of creative design work spanning multiple design projects and mediums, with on interface or screen-based experiences.
Deep understanding of foundational design principles with excellent command of type, grid, composition and color.
Demonstrable experience identifying and addressing user pain points, finding creative solutions to improve usability and overall product performance.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, possessing the ability to make complex ideas simple and consumable for a broad range of collaborators.
A creative and collaborative spirit to build strong relationships and effectively navigate conflict with peers and partners.
Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $75,000 to $180,400 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).
