Description We are in the process of recruiting a Systems Engineer to join our team in Schneider, Indiana, 46376, United States. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As a Systems Engineer, you will be involved in a variety of tasks such as Linux System Administration, Email - SMTP, DKIM, SPF, DNS, Virtualization and containerization - KVM, Docker, Hardware - SuperMicro servers, Cisco switches, Automation/scripting, Prometheus, Infrastructure/Configuration as Code, Networking - Cisco, VPN, Firewalls, and Database management and SQL - PostgreSQL.Responsibilities: Engage in Linux System Administration duties, ensuring efficiency and smooth operations. Handle Email - SMTP, DKIM, SPF, DNS to ensure secure and efficient communication. Manage Virtualization and containerization - KVM, Docker for optimal system performance. Maintain Hardware - SuperMicro servers, Cisco switches to ensure hardware reliability. Develop and implement Automation/scripting procedures to streamline processes. Utilize Prometheus for effective system monitoring and alerting. Implement Infrastructure/Configuration as Code for efficient system management. Oversee Networking - Cisco, VPN, Firewalls to ensure secure and effective network connections. Manage Database and SQL - PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and availability.
