We are looking for an Oral Surgical Dental Assistant for our affiliate practice, The Dental Center - South Bend Adult located in South Bend, IN. This is a full-time position. The Dental Assistant we hire will ideally have on the job experience, but recent grads are also encouraged to apply.ÂX-ray certification in the state of Indiana is required. Formal Dental Assistant training in the state of Indiana is also required. We offer a competitiveÂsalary plus benefits!

Responsibilities:
⢠Surgical Dental Assistants assist in surgical operations under the supervision of the dentist.
⢠Prepare operatory by setting up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes and sterile solutions as required.
⢠Assemble sterile and non-sterile equipment; adjust and check to ensure proper working order.
⢠Prepare patients for surgery and observe patients vital signs and assist dentist during surgery.
⢠During surgery Surgical Dental Assistants pass instruments and other sterile supplies to dentist, hold surgical instruments as directed by dentist, and help apply dressings.
⢠Operate sterilizer, lights, or suction machines.
⢠Clean operatory after surgery.
Desired Skills:
Formal training Dental Assistant certification in the state in which you are applying, required
X-ray certification in the state for which you apply, required
