We are a busy family of seven (five children aged 12, 10, 8, 7 and 3), looking for a reliable and detail-oriented house manager to assist with household management, meal preparation and occasional childcare. Our ideal candidate is patient, highly organized, prompt, proactive, calm and excellent at communicating. We value someone who can take initiative and help keep our home running smoothly.
Employment Type: Part-time (25-30 hours/week), includes benefits
Proposed Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: $25+ / hour based on experience
Requirements: Non-smoker, pass background check, has transportation
Proposed Schedule: Flexible hours, primarily during the day between 10am - 7pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Household Management: Errands, Grocery Shopping, Light Cleaning, Organization (garage, basement, sport equipment inventory, management, purchasing), Costco orders & shopping, Restocking home supplies.
- Light housekeeping: Tidying up (putting away any left out toys/books/blankets, cleaning counters, running dishwasher, unloading dishwasher, wiping dirty appliances, making beds)
- Meal Prep: Experience cooking fresh, healthy, wholesome meals. Preparing the weekly menu, obtaining groceries and assisting in preparing food for dinners 3 nights / week.
- Laundry: running, folding, putting away, picking up dry cleaning.
- Transportation: for kids after school activities, for family to airport for travel
- Executive assistant: routine office duties, clerical tasks for family business including record keeping & receipts for tax purposes & documentation.
- Calendar management: syncing calendars, ensuring events are added
- Car maintenance: routine washes, oil changes, regular scheduling & tracking of service appointments .
- Travel planning: research, booking, packing, etc.
- Home Projects: research, getting quotes, and organizing/prioritizing, managing contractors.
- Party & Event planning: Shopping, rental equipment, contacting support staff, and being the main point of contact for events.
- Property management @ Lake house 20 minutes north, coordinating boat storage, maintenance, organizing garage, general tasks.
Availability and hours are flexible and can be discussed upon an offer.
Hours: 25 - 30 hrs/week (mainly M-F)
Ideal availability: 10am - 7pm (not daily but having hours be in this time frame, Midday hours for work at home and errands….later hours for helping with kids and transportation)
