Licensed home childcare is seeking to hire a full time Teacher's Assistant. The hours are Monday thru Friday 9:00-5:30, with a 30 minute lunch break each day. The childcare operates Monday-Friday from 7:00-5:30pm and although the hours are mostly set you would be required to cover earlier when needed if other staff is absent or out sick. The position would start asap and training would be required. Training is on sight and provided at no cost to you, other than CPR & First Aid which you would obtain through the Red Cross. You must be at least 18 years of age.
The Teachers Assistant's responsibilities include:
⢠Promote a learning space that support and enhance curriculum activities
⢠Come to work on time and ready to give 100% every day
⢠Welcoming to families, communicate daily goals/achievements to parents upon pick up
⢠Prepare meals and snacks
⢠Supervise and engage with the children during free time
⢠Help with crafts and preschool activities
⢠Maintain the children's cleanliness and hygiene throughout the day
Qualifications:
⢠Must meet and follow all City and State licensing requirements
⢠One-Year of child development experience in a day care setting or other childcare experience
⢠Commitment to Professional Development
⢠Have or willing to obtain SIDS/Shaken Baby, CPR, and First Aid certification
⢠Pass a TB Test
⢠Submit to a Drug/Alcohol Screen
⢠Pass a CPS and Federal fingerprint screen
⢠Be able to display self control in stressful situations
⢠Understand realistic expectations of children through different ages and stages of development
Although this is a "home childcare", we operate more like a childcare center. It is a very clean environment free or pets. Currently we have a full roster of 14 children ages 10 months-5 years of age. We are closed all major holidays and two weeks a year for vacation. It is a fun and laid back environment!
