Diggz Formals, located in Lafayette, Indiana, is NOW HIRING for full and part-time Sales Associates. Diggz Formals is a full service formal gown and tuxedo boutique that has been servicing central Indiana and surrounding areas for the past 16 years! We work in an exciting, high-energy industry and are hiring enthusiastic individuals with a passion for prom and special occasion formal wear!
A Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and driving sales! They will be trained to become an expert in prom, semi-formal, and evening gowns, and serve as a matchmaker to help their clients find the perfect dress! Our most successful Consultants are motivated individuals with upbeat, outgoing personalities and excellent communication skills. They are fast-paced, enjoy fashion, and they serve our customers in a sincere, thoughtful, and encouraging way every visit.
Sales Associate Responsibilities:
Enthusiastically greeting and welcoming customers & explaining store procedures for an enjoyable shopping experience
Assisting clients in selecting their dream dress
Assisting clients outside the fitting rooms with zipping and clipping gowns to show the correct fit
Asking Supervisor to Check Inventory to Verify a gown is available for clients to purchase
Thoroughly explaining ordering, sales process, and layaway options with customers
Visually inspecting gowns for any damage and preparing them to be returned to the floor and/or sew department
Additional Responsibilities:
Receiving and processing inventory
General cleaning, i.e., sweep, dust, windows.
Answering telephone calls to complete sale inquiries, answer customer questions, etc.
Data entry
Operate Cash Register
Requirements/Personality Traits:
Available to work All-to-most Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays during peak prom season (February-April) We are the busiest on Saturdays!
2-3 days per week available (approximately 12-15 hours per week if part-time
Retail experience is strongly preferred (Not Required) Willing to train the right candidates
Passionate about the formal wear industry and helping others
Outgoing and energetic personality
Desire to learn and excel in a fast-pace environment
Ability to work well with others

+Seasonal Hours are between January 15-May 5
+Seasonal hours: Monday-Friday 1p-8p, Saturday 11a-8p, Sunday 1p-6p
+Weekends are required February 15 through April 20
+Regular Hours (Off Season) May 16-August 14: Wednesday-Saturday 1-5p & Sunday Closed
August 15-January 14 Wednesday-Saturday 1-7p & Sunday Closed
