Wealing Brothers is a family owned and operated business. We have been in business for over 40 years, and are located in a rural area between Remington and Fowler, IN. We are seeking a full-time mechanic.
We have hundreds of different types of equipment and vehicles including a fleet of Kenworth semi-trucks, tankers, dump trailers. A large fleet of 5 wheeled Terra Gator and Oxbo machines, various farm equipment, pumps, Excavators, dozers, skid steers, Roll-off truck, Ford pickups, tractors, tillage equipment, etc. We have a variety of equipment due to the nature of our business. We are looking for a seasoned, well-rounded individual that can weld, use cutting torch and minor fabrication, R&R Transmissions, rear-ends, engines, hydraulic pumps, change tires, etc. We need someone that likes challenges, can think outside the box and do things more than 1 way. We do not rebuild engines, transmissions, rear-ends in house, they are sent out and rebuilt elsewhere. We have a large 20,000 sq ft shop that is heated with a service pit. ALL TOOLS are provided by us. If there are special tools needed to work on our equipment, we either have it or will get it. This is usually a 7am-5pm job Monday through Friday. Some overtime and a few Saturdays would be required in our busy season (Spring and Fall). Most of the mechanic work would take place in our shop, although we do have several jobsites around IN, IL, and MI that may require traveling if we have some machinery go down on the jobsite. MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER LICENSE. Transportation to and from the jobsites for repair would be provided by one of our company service trucks. 1-week paid vacation, after 1 year of employment, paid holidays, 100% paid health insurance premium. We could also use a part time, Evening or weekend mechanic, that can do light mechanical duties, Brakes, tires, oil changes, greasing, lighting, preventative maintenance, etc.
PAY BASED ON REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE, if you don't have experience that is fine, we can teach you many things, but also don't expect to be paid an experienced mechanic's wage, from the start.
