Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.POSITION SUMMARY: The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for analyzing problems using engineering, business (financial), logistics and human resources related principles while developing solutions to such problems.  Develop new approaches and techniques to labor management in order to improve productivity and accuracy within the distribution network.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Proficient in Process Improvement utilizing Lean Six SigmaExperience with time studies, work measurement, engineering standards and data collectionsReview employees and department productivity and partner with operations to develop action plans to improve performanceDirects or conducts studies to ascertain the best sequence of operations or workflow.Recommends methods to ensure the maximum utilization of facilities and human resources.Prepares cost estimates for assigned projects.Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnelConducts cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implements plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methodsIdentify and develop best practices/ SOP’s to improve efficiency and provide consistent output at the distribution centerDesign, recommend and implement state-of-the-art logistics, material handling and information systems that encompass distribution and transportationLiaison between operations and MIS in the implementation of newly designed or redesigned systems.Develop financial and operational plans on a daily, weekly and annual basisMay assist in establishing accident prevention measures and manage production operations training programs for personnelMaintain good communication with other departments and employeesFunction effectively at both strategic and tactical levelsAdditional duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
