Description
A client of ours in Whitestown, IN is searching for a self-starting PC Technician to join their team. This PC Technician will be responsible for overnight communication and maintenance, troubleshooting systems, and contributing input for best practices. This role is a contract to full hire position for the third shift.
What you get to do every single day:
- Work closely with the IT team helping with monitor setups, installation of cables, and providing support for internal users
- Troubleshoot, analyze and diagnose hardware and software problems and support end-user application software
- Work with Windows 7-10 and Server 2008 and 2012
- Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
- Handle all imaging and preparation tasks for new computers
- Own and execute technology implementation projects
- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish a variety of computer hardware, including PCs, laptops, monitors, servers and other IT equipment
- Provide documentation of daily data communication transactions, issues and repairs made or installation activities
Requirements
- 1+ year(s) of experience supporting PC and Mac hardware and software
- Great attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- A self-motivated personality
- Strong desire to learn and able to adapt
- Hands on experience dealing with end users on a daily basis
- Experience with Windows 7-10
- Show the ability to adapt and learn new techniques and skill sets when required
- Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN is a plus
