Casting Maintenance Supervisor Purpose:

To coordinate the process of equipment maintenance while following established safety procedures.

Primary Duties:

Expected to follow all safety rules and policies and work in a manner that protects themselves and other stakeholders from hazards and injuries.

Ensure all work procedures and practices are in accordance with established safety policies.

Ensure safety of employees and equipment that employees work with and on at all times.

Directs preventative maintenance program with proper scheduling and requirements to maintain equipment and facilities.

Ensures equipment condition at end of work order is proper and in safe-working order.

Responsible for compliance with all quality efforts in maintenance through proper use of work instructions, processes and procedures.

Supervise workflow; including schedules, ordering of parts, paperwork, housekeeping and waste reduction.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining sound employee relations.

Drive data integrity throughout all involved processes, procedures and equipment.

Coordinate efforts between maintenance and production to minimize delays and downtime on machines.

Assist in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems/components.

Maintain departmental records.

Any other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements:

Associate degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology; or 5 years of industrial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3 years of foundry maintenance experience on induction furnaces to include: power transmission, water cooling, and refractory lining.

Skill Requirements:

General understanding of PCs and related software experience.

Sound communication, organizational and analytical skills with the ability to plan work.

Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with a mechanical aptitude.

Leadership and Supervisory skills.
