Provide strong leadership and technical advice to Engineers
Project management
Provide proper report to management
Help develop and participate in the implementation of improvement of existing facility equipment and upgrades
Recommend improvement ideas that could increase productivity and in-service life of equipment
Coordinate with purchasing, vendors, contractors to ensure all necessary components are acquired
Prepare and assess quotations/estimates and assist in proposal and contract reviews as required
Lead investigation into root causes and report these finding on all breakdowns that occur
Design using 2D or 3D CAD
Working knowledge of hydraulics and Pneumatics
Understanding of common mechanical components (couplings, bushing, bearings, gearbox)
Basic understanding of machining techniques
Finite Element Analysis, or any form of failure mode analysis with respect to stress calculations
Trouble shooting mechanical issues with machinery working side-by-side with our internal maintenance
Basic understanding of control systems (PLC systems)
Create new or revise existing layout and detail drawings
Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic problems

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ferrous, nonferrous and paper processing industry experience preferred. Benefits
