40 hours per week
Flexible schedule working during the hours of operation between 8am-6pm
BenefitsThis role is full-time and eligible for health benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, and a 403B retirement account. PTO is front-loaded upon hire and starts accruing immediately. As a non profit organization, we also participate in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
What You’ll Do
Complete all documentation according to ChildServe, AOTA, and third party regulatory standards
Develop individualized plan of care as appropriate to meet the needs of the child/caregiver
Adapt communication styles to meet the needs of those involved in a child’s care
Confer with the interdisciplinary team, including the physician with developing, implementing, and revising the therapy plan of care based on initial and ongoing assessments
Review medical, educational, social, and financial information on each client prior to assessment or initiation of treatment
Participate in teaching and training other ChildServe staff including orientation, occupational therapy topics, and mentoring for students/interns
Provide health information to third party payers as necessary to advocate and secure medically necessary services for client
Provide accurate and timely billing and scheduling information to accounting, operations staff and Team Lead
Participate in internal quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities
Participate in community functions, marketing, and consultative services as needed
Assist in the development of new clinical programs as assigned
What You’ll Need
A degree from an AOTA approved occupational therapy program
Preferred: Experience with pediatrics
Preferred: Experience with autism and motor impairment
Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
