Join our mission today.Senior Principal Production Chief Engineer - ACTT (Onsite)Job Summary:The Collins Aerospace Air Combat Test & Training (ACTT) engineering department is responsible for the design, analysis, test, certification, and production of Air Combat Training systems. We solve the challenges of next-generation pilot proficiency training so they can “Train as they Fight”. We field Test and Training range systems with state-of-the-art technology in cryptography, datalinks, navigation, communication, networking, and command and control. We specialize in highly accurate, highly secure solutions for U.S. DoD and international coalition customers. We are a system of systems development team that designs, integrates and supports some of the largest, most complex solutions offered by Collins Aerospace.If you want a complex, exciting, dynamic team environment with cutting-edge technology and a customer counting on us delivering the very best to help the military safely train in Live, Virtual, & Constructive (LVC) environments, this is the place for you.Job Responsibilities:This position is for an experienced Program Chief Engineer (PCE) who leads production activities for an Air Combat Training program. The PCE has primary accountability for working cross functionally with program leadership, design engineering, ops, quality, and partners to meet production tenets. The PCE is the single engineering point of contact accountable for leading all production activities in support of multiple programs.Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborating across the integrated project team (engineering, program management, operations, finance, contracts, business development) to achieve program objectives

Lead CCBs and ensure cross program requirements and new changes meet all user requirements and do not break functionality for others

Leading root cause corrective action (RCCA) and design improvement activities

Leading and managing the engineering bid and planning process for a multi-disciplinary engineering team

Leading effective communication with internal and external partners, team members, and other stakeholders

Lead a regular cross-functional cadence troubleshooting inhibitors to production.

Driving predictable program performance

This leader should be highly motivated, have a passion for meeting commitments, and enjoy the flexibility to support a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Experience in new product introduction (NPI)

Experience in Lean and Six-Sigma

Experience in the following areas of responsibility

Bidding, planning and managing project budget, schedule, and scope

Supporting business pursuits and developing technical approaches that satisfy customer most-important requirements within a defined cost-to-win.

Proactive management of program risks and opportunities

Creating collaborative team cultures that drive predictable program performance to consistently meet business and customer commitments

Communicating effectively to a host of stakeholders across the technical spectrum, including customers, program management and senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting Business Development and Program Management in the creation of business cases and product roadmaps

Experience in NSA certified developments

Experience as engineering bid lead on large, complex pursuits

Preferred applicants will currently hold a Secret (or above) security clearance, or have held one within the past two years

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
