Date Posted:2021-10-28-07:00Country:United States of AmericaLocation:HIA32: Cedar Rapids, IA 400 Collins Rd NE , Cedar Rapids, IA, 52498-0505 USAPosition OverviewThe candidate will witness the development life cycle of software and hardware integration of Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) Avionics, supporting requirements development, software integration, documentation, certification and sustaining activities for large size Business Jets as part of a Systems Engineering group.The candidate will participate in process improvements activities assisting the group updating tools, developing scripts, establishing meaningful metrics, contributing to day to day requirements development, integration, testing and avionics certification activitiesThe candidate will shadow Systems Engineers during testing and troubleshooting activities gaining knowledge of Aircraft and Avionics systems including User Interface, Maintenance, Flight Controls, Engine Indication Systems, Flight Displays, Flight Management System, Panels, Radio Comm, following Systems Engineering methodologies. Join us and be a part of a team developing high integrity systems on the fastest and largest business jets in the market.Primary Responsibilities:Collaborate with Systems Engineers in Design, and Requirement Developments activities
Collaborate with Systems Engineers running requirements-based testing in a lab environment
Collaborate with Systems Engineers in the development and execution of test scripts
Collaborate with Systems Engineers integrating software and avionics features
Assist the group with activities requiring coordination across multiple subsystem functional areas.
Collaborate with Systems Engineers tracking and troubleshooting field issues
Collaborate with engineers across multiple subsystems and contributing toward a positive team working environment.
Basic Qualifications:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
