Description We are on the lookout for a Tax Manager to be a part of our team based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The primary role of the Tax Manager will be to handle tax preparation tasks, including tax returns for different entities and consultation on various financial and business matters. The role also involves tax research, preparation of financial statements, and advising on accounting transactions. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Handle tax preparation tasks for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and non-profit organizations. Provide consultation to individuals and businesses on diverse accounting, financial, and business matters. Conduct comprehensive tax research and stay updated on the latest rules and regulations. Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Advise on adjusting and closing accounting entries and guide bookkeepers on unusual accounting transactions. Familiarize and comply with reporting requirements for compilations, reviews, and audited financial statements. Manage reporting requirements for FBAR and BOI reporting, rules for tax deferred exchanges, and multi-state taxation. Utilize various accounting software systems effectively, including ADP - Financial Services, CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, rules, and regulations. Handle the entity formation process, including the choice of business entity and annual income tax provision. Requirements
CPA license required
Minimum 15 years of tax experience
