The Sixth Judicial District, Department of Correctional Services has an opening for a full time FOOD SERVICE COORDINATOR at our Hinzman/Nelson Center in Cedar Rapids. This full time position will be working four 10 hour days with the hours of 8am – 6pm Friday through Monday. The pay range for this position is $18.06 - $26.44. After successful completion of a one-year probationary period you will receive a 3% increase and will continue to receive annual increase upon a satisfactory review until you reach the top of the pay grade.
Responsibilities include preparing meals for residents, putting away food orders, reading and following recipes, sanitation and cleaning. Minimum qualifications are two year’s full time experience in an industrial or restaurant cooking and an Associate’s Degree; OR four year’s full time experience in a food service operation; OR two years’ experience as a Cook in a community corrections facility.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Districts auto insurance coverage.
