THE JOB:
Days: One-Two Afternoons a week AND Saturday and Sunday Afternoons (Support available for weekends)
Time: Approx 4pm-6pm (some flexibility in start/end times can be discussed)
Each Shift is approximately 2 Hours in Length but can vary slightly.
Some Holidays may be requested.
Chores include (but not limited to) bringing in horses for grain, putting out hay, ensuring basic wellness, cleaning and bedding stalls, and basic communication with their humans!
NOTE>> This job will require you to work outside and is physical in nature, and at times during inclement weather. Work is challenging, yet rewarding! Please consider this BEFORE applying!
REQUIREMENTS:
Preference will be given to those with horse experience
Must be able to provide 1-2 References to support reliability in employment.
Must be physically able to work outside, walk on uneven ground (snow, mud, hills), and lift over 50 lbs repetitively throughout the course of the shift.
Experience with large animals/moving herds is preferred but not required. Will provide training and support regardless.
Must have RELIABLE and CONSISTENT transportation. All-Wheel Drive or 4-Wheel drive is recommended as the farm is on a gravel road.
Must live within a 30 minute drive of the farm.
Must be compassionate and able to communicate basic needs clearly with owners and boarders.
