Industrial Insulator Helper
Established industrial mechanical insulation company seeking industrial pipe insulators. The employee would be responsible for helping with cutting and fitting insulation for pipes and equipment. Mechanical experience preferred. Local Candidates Only.
Position: Industrial Insulator Helper
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Entry Level $20/hr
Position key duties:
Learning through on-the-job training to fabricate and install insulation in industrial setting
Take precise measurements, cut, fit and install insulation and other components such as vapor barrier, metal or PVC jackets, banding etc.
Maintain and operate equipment such as safety equipment, beader crimper, bending brake, banding tools and other hand and power tools
Maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment as a member of our team
Work closely with others in a team environment
Position Requirements:
Willingness to gain general knowledge of installation methods and types of insulation systems
Eager to learn required skills for cutting, fitting and installing industrial insulation
Pre-employment drug screening
Valid Drivers License
Ability to work up to 12 hours and occasional off shifts
Ability to follow instructions and maintain excellent communication skills
Ability to safely climb and use ladders work at heights with provided safety equipment
Ability to work in varying industrial environments including hot and cold and lift 75 Lbs.
Ability to lift up to 75 Lbs.
Minimum 10 Hr. OSHA certification preferred but will train
Local work area is Cedar Rapids, Iowa
