Machine Operator: Starting pay could be up to $21.75 depending on shift.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Machine Operator with a working knowledge and experience in labeler operations. The ideal candidate will be adept at watching for jams, threading wrap to prevent downtime, performing filler and filler line changeovers safely and efficiently, and making necessary adjustments to filler timing and filling. Additionally, you will prepare equipment for the next run, analyze process and equipment performance data, monitor product packaging, and review product labels for accuracy.Responsibilities
Operate labelers, monitor for jams, and thread wrap to prevent downtime.
Perform safe and efficient filler and filler line changeovers.
Adjust filler timing and filling as needed.
Prepare equipment for size changes for the next run.
Analyze process data and equipment performance to improve quality and throughput.
Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general product packaging.
Prepare case labels and ensure product labels are accurate.
Work EnvironmentYou will be working in a manufacturing and production environment. This setting may involve exposure to high places, moving machinery, significant temperature and humidity changes, dust, odors, and fumes. It can be loud. Blending roles require working outside year-round, climbing on railcars, and attaching large hoses to railcars. Packaging roles are indoors with hot conditions in the summer and normal temperatures in the winter. You will inspect packaging machines, make minor adjustments, and perform lockout/tagout procedures. The team consists of about 90 people per shift. The dress code includes shorts or jeans, a clean work shirt, and steel-toe (or composite) shoes.
