DescriptionWe are hiring for a Quality Assurance Technician role at JBS Prepared Foods (Formerly Swift Prepared Foods) as a full-time employee in Council Bluffs, IA.As a QA Technician at JBS Prepared Foods, you will receive these excellent benefits, plus much more:

Wages starting at $20.75 per hour

$1.00 shift differential!  And increases as you go up levels

Great weekly pay! (Every Friday) 

BONUS pay of 1.00 for every hour worked for perfect attendance each pay period!

Benefit options after just 60 days of employment.

10 days vacation after just 1 year.

Ensure products are made within product specifications by inspecting products.

Reviewing daily paperwork for accuracy and completeness and follow up as needed.

Assist the plant personnel when food safety and sanitation issues arise.

Evaluate paperwork and information for developing trends.

Bench-marking with other plants as needed.

Reviewing the sanitation program as needed, including pre-operational sanitation.

Writing policies and procedures as needed.

Proper use and care of analytical instruments and equipment, including daily calibration tests via documentation.

Analyze documents for product chemistry specifically salts, moisture, fats, and proteins look for trends and notify the supervisor of any findings.

Update and review all packaging, LOG’s, and other validations.

Be able to do inspections of raw and finished products

Detail-oriented to ensure all documentation and traceability is being done daily and stored in a matter that can be pulled easily for traceability tests.

Capable of doing swabs, validation tests, and back up for technicians when needed.

Support SQF audits

Quality Assurance Technician Education and Experience Requirements:-High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred-Prefer previous manufacturing experienceWork Environment / Physical Demands -Subjected to hot/cold and wet environments -Must have the ability to climb stairs, ladders, etc.EOE/Vets/Disability
