Job Details
Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for capital improvements and assisting with production time.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with production and maintenance to upgrade existing equipment, perform repairs, and install
new machinery.
Supporting the day-to-day operations by acting as a resource for skilled trades and contracted services.
Providing high-level technical assistance to production/maintenance personal during both planned and
unplanned equipment service interruptions, including after-hours or weekends.
Applying root cause problem solving (troubleshooting) techniques to find and eliminate sources of recurring
equipment failures through creative, cost-effective solutions.
Working with other plant departments to identify, investigate feasibility, and/or create business cases to acquire
funding for capital projects.
Managing capital projects from conception to commissioning, startup, and handover phases, including equipment
supplier/contractor selection and BU level procurement interaction.
Developing and maintaining technical documentation (drawings, preventative maintenance procedures, start-
up/shutdown procedures, etc.) for new and existing processes and procedures in the assigned work area.
Observing and supporting plant safety goals and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an
accredited institution
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting
Troubleshooting experience in an industrial setting
Proficient in 2D/3D modeling software, AutoCAD/Solidworks, or other applicable modeling software
2+ years of industry experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Proven organizational, communication, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills preferred
Experience managing capital projects preferred
Experience with industrial robots preferred
