Join us as a Site Coordinator for our area's VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program and help ensure your community has access to free, reliable tax preparation services.About the Role:As a Tax Site Coordinator, you will oversee the day-to-day activities, operations, and success of the VITA site(s) under your leadership. Serving as the primary point of contact, you will act as a liaison between site Tax Preparers and the District Team to deliver efficient, high-quality tax services.Key Responsibilities:
Manage Site Operations: Ensure sites are open as scheduled and adequately staffed to meet appointment demand.
Certify Volunteers: Verify that all volunteers have completed required certifications.
Equip Your Team: Provide volunteers with the tools and information needed to accurately file tax returns.
Coordinate Compliance: Work with the VITA Manager to meet IRS and program requirements and oversee e-file administration.
Quality Assurance: Perform e-filing, transmission, and quality reviews.
Availability:Site Coordinators must be available during site operation hours:
Monday – Thursday: 4 PM to 8/9 PM (flexible, not required all days)
Saturday: 8 AM to 12/1 PM
Flexibility to support a site on the IA or IL side of the river (all sites within immediate QC area)

Tax Knowledge: A base understanding of current tax laws, Form 1040, and supporting schedules.
A Growth Mindset: A willingness to complete Site Coordinator training and online certifications.
Leadership Enthusiasm: A passion for motivating and supporting student and community Volunteer Tax Preparers.
