Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

OR

4 - 7 years of accounting or finance experience.

OR

Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential duties/responsibilities:

Credit Policy Management

Identify, develop, communicate, and maintain credit policies and procedures to manage risk, enhance collections, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Regularly review and update credit policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes, market conditions, and company goals.

Credit Monitoring and Analysis

Monitor customer balances to ensure adherence to credit limits and company policies.

Review and set individual customer credit limits, maintaining accurate records and supporting files.

Complete, analyze, and approve new credit applications.

Collections and Issue Resolution

Create, communicate, maintain, enforce, and review credit collection procedures.

Develop collection strategies for delinquent and financially distressed customers, coordinating with the Sales Department when necessary.

Address short payment issues and invoicing problems.

Review credit limits and issues with Outside Sales team as needed.

Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices and review accounts receivable daily.

Training and Support

Organize and lead credit training for Sales and Customer Service personnel as required.

Serve as a backup for cash application processes.

Reporting and Reconciliation

Ensure timely completion of month-end close procedures and reporting.

Perform monthly accounts receivable reconciliation, investigating and resolving variances.

Oversee payment of sales commissions and reconcile related balance sheet accounts.

Continuous Improvement

Drive improvements within the credit management function by analyzing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions for optimized credit approval, collections, and risk management.

General Duties

Participate in additional training, ensuring ongoing development for yourself and your team.

Maintain consistent attendance and perform additional assignments as needed in related areas.
