Start your Career today! We at Bolton Logistics are seeking an Operations Manager to become an integral part of our team! We are a final mile LTL logistics company providing shipping services to many national companies. In this position you will coordinate and oversee the organization's daily freight operations of the Des Moines, IA terminal.
This is a full time opportunity, Monday - Friday, starting at 7:30am. Starting salary offer for this position is $45,500 annually, dependent on prior qualifications and experience. Benefits offered include medical, dental, vision, and a retirement option with 3% company matching. Pay is biweekly. PTO is earned up to two weeks starting and major holidays paid.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional support to all customers through real time communication and updates.
Manage and improve operational practices following the policies of the US DOT and Bolton Logistics handbook.
Allocate labor resources with proficiency and profitability in mind.
Track and analyze the efficiency of the team you oversee.
Provide daily operations oversight for outside teams and management staff.
Escalated support concerns communicated to the Director of Operation.
Communicate staffing support needs with the HR Manager
Qualifications:
Previous experience in operations or other related fields
Strong project management skills
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Strong leadership qualities
Ability to operate a computer and smart phone apps associated with our operations
Ability to operate (or learn how to ) maneuver and drive a fork truck safely
