This intentional commitment to a championship culture is led by integrity, excellence, wanting the best for and best from one another, and aspiring to greatness provides a foundation for student-athletes, coaches, and athletics staff to study, work, and play.Job Summary: The Assistant Men's & Women's Track Coach and Operations Director plays a critical role in supporting the Head Coach and Associate Head Coach with program operations, as well as coaching, recruitment, and retention of student athletes for a NCAA Division I Track and Field/Cross Country program within the rules and regulations of Drake University, the NCAA and the Missouri Valley Conference. This position will be responsible for providing administrative direction and assistance to the Head and Assistant Coaches. Duties to include arranging team travel and meals, hotel assisting with the organization and execution of sports camps and clinics, organizing team meetings, community service and events, lead and organize social media efforts and other duties as assigned for the daily operations of the men’s and women’s track and field and cross-country programs. Travel and working evenings/weekends as needed is required.Minimum Qualifications: Collegiate racing and/or coaching experience Bachelor’s degreeValid state issued driver’s licenseCPR and First Aid certification (can certify upon start)Knowledge of Track and Field operationsQuality Instagram/social media experiencePreferred Qualifications: Two years of track and field coaching experience Applicable USTFCCCA/USATF coaches’ education certificate(s)Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and student-athletes with a range of backgrounds, interests and perspectivesJob Duties:

55% - Coaching and recruiting duties as assigned by the Head Coach - (Essential)

25% - Lead operations for team activities and travel as well as competition; while ensuring that all appropriate safety guidelines and compliance standards are maintained. - (Essential)

10% - Manage social media accounts and help with promotion of Drake Track and Field - (Essential)
