Role: Java/Tableau Lead Developer with Insurance experience
Location: Des Moines, Iowa (Initially remote is fine) Java/Tableau Lead Developer for an Insurance client based out of USA with Data Applications Testing & Life & Annuities domain experience.
Overall, 10+ years of experience in Develop, design, and maintain Tableau /Java dashboards and analytics. Technical Skills:
Minimum 10+ years' experience in dashboards and data visualization development using Tableau and Java. Should have experience in developing, designing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and analytics,
Data visualization related database development skills on Oracle and SQL Server databases
Strong understanding of conceptual, logical, physical data modeling concepts
Experience in SDK, API implementation
Experience in performance tuning of relational databases especially Oracle and SQL Server
Experience in working on projects using Agile methodology
Architecture, design and development in Tableau 9
Architecture, design and development in Java, SDK, and APIs
Relational database development skills
Experience in integrating algorithmic layers in data visualization
Understanding of NoSQL modeling
Collect, refine, and prepare data for analytics and visualization
Manage and utilize the Tableau platform to extract meaningful insights from it
Prepare reports using various visualization and data modeling methods
Define new KPIs and consistently measure in the datasets
Collecting data from various data sources and normalize it
Test and publish dashboards and reports and schedule refresh
Define access controls and implement security measures whenever required
Drill-down data and prepare reports with utmost accuracy
Creating wireframes and beta dashboards with a focus on user experience, correctness, and visibility
Improve overall process in data management, collection, dashboard design, and entire product life-cycle
Apply algorithms and statistical methods to obtain answers from data
Solving any data or performance issues related to workbooks and data sources
Monitoring reports and dashboards and make necessary changes
Manage Tableau-driven implementations, architecture, and administration
Actively manage the performance and usability of Tableau to get the desired result
Proven record of delivering technology solutions within agreed upon timeframes
