Job DescriptionRemittance Processing Administrator I Location: Des Moines, IA/Hybrid Duration: 3 months with possible contract to hire Description: Your Function: As an Remittance Processing Administrator, you will be expected to ensure that all transactions and/or ledgers are accounted and executed in a complete, timely, and accurate manner within the rules and regulations from Client. Your Profile: 2-5 years of working experience, ideally within Accounts Receivable Associates degree (or equivalent work experience) required; Bachelor's degree preferred Basic understanding of MS Excel Focused on gathering, entering, filing and archiving of financial data Basic bookkeeping knowledge Must have the ability to communicate, written and verbal, with other members of the team and with clients/prospective clients Strong attention to detail Proven ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines Day to day: Ensure cash received is recorded and deposited Download lockbox and customer portal files into operation system Work with appropriate entities to correctly process items included in automatic files Record cash activity in/out in the main ledger Balance the batches and transmit file to bank Provide assistance to internal and external customers in research of cash activity Investigate misapplied funds, unapplied cash and adjustments Make appropriate corrections to accounts Research and clear cash reconciling items Perform other duties as assigned We Offer: Two working days per year volunteering for a local charity Flexible hours with possibility to work from home (within job scope) Career development opportunities: online learning, member development programs, Tuition reimbursement program.
