Senior Finance Manager

Seeking a Senior Finance Manager in Downtown Des MoinesJob DescriptionLeverage development modeling and equity capital stacks to analyze financial data and translate it into actionable insights and recommendations for key internal stakeholders and clients. Serve as a key member of the development project team, presenting to community boards and other key external stakeholders to support Project Development Managers (PDMs) on key decisions.Responsibilities

Oversee internal financial leadership, including preparation of financial management reporting, analysis, and comparisons.

Prepare development budgets, projections, and near-term forecasts.

Manage client billings, accounts receivable, and review development agreements.

In partnership with PDMs, develop capital cost budgets, pro forma financial statements, and relevant project schedules.

Provide strategic analysis to PDMs to make decisions around the structure of projects and provide monthly client reporting of financial performance during the life of a project.

Serve as a key relationship manager for banks and investors, partnering with these groups to create financially successful projects.

Effectively manage and lead a team, including hiring, training, coaching, evaluating performance, allocating compensation, handling employee relations issues, and managing terminations.

Perform other duties and essential functions as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years of directly relevant experience

Real estate development experience

Prior team leadership experience

Direct experience with investment banking relationships

Familiarity in the housing industry
