Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and strategic Senior Medicaid Policy Advisor to provide expert guidance on Medicaid policies, oversee critical projects, and support implementation plans related to Medicaid operations and legal actions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Medicaid regulations and healthcare delivery systems, combined with proven experience in project management, policy analysis, and program implementation. This role will include analyzing complex legal and regulatory challenges, coordinating cross-functional teams, and developing actionable plans to address legal mandates and policy objectives. Responsibilities Include: Policy Analysis and Development Analyze federal and state Medicaid policies, regulations, and legal actions to assess their impacts on programs, stakeholders, and operations. Develop and advocate for policy positions that align with organizational goals and compliance requirements. Monitor Medicaid trends, reforms, and legal developments to ensure readiness and alignment with state and federal mandates. Project Management and Oversight Manage Medicaid-related projects, including those arising from legal actions, audits, and policy changes, ensuring timely and effective implementation. Oversee the development and execution of implementation plans, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements. Coordinate cross-functional teams to address operational, programmatic, and compliance-related challenges. Track project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders. Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination Collaborate with state agencies, policymakers, and advocacy groups to ensure the successful implementation of Medicaid policies and programs. Provide technical assistance and policy recommendations to internal teams and external stakeholders. Facilitate clear communication and coordination between legal teams, program staff, and leadership to address compliance-related challenges. Documentation and Communication Draft and present policy briefs, reports, and presentations to communicate complex Medicaid and project-related concepts to diverse audiences. Maintain detailed documentation of project activities, timelines, and outcomes to ensure transparency and accountability. Requirements: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in any field, and experience equal to five years of full-time professional-level work in program administration, program development, program operations, or management. A total of nine years of education and/or full-time experience in Medicaid policy, healthcare policy, project management, or program implementation. In-depth knowledge of Medicaid regulations, programs, and legal compliance requirements. Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate legal and regulatory challenges. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies is highly desirable. Experience building relationships with government agencies, policymakers, and advocacy organizations is a plus.
