We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Technology organization, supporting the HEDIS and quality measurement ecosystem. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building data-centric solutions in a regulated environment and turning complex healthcare data into reliable, consumable assets.In this role, you will design and develop software that supports the ingestion, transformation, and movement of HEDIS-related data across systems. You’ll partner closely with clinical, quality, and analytics teams to ensure data pipelines are accurate, auditable, and fit for downstream measurement and reporting.What You’ll DoDesign, develop, and maintain data-focused software solutions supporting HEDIS and quality initiativesBuild and support data integrations and pipelines using APIs, automation, and event-driven patternsTransform and model data with a data-as-a-product mindset, ensuring quality, traceability, and usabilityCollaborate with Technology and business partners to translate quality requirements into scalable technical solutionsEnsure solutions meet Wellmark engineering, security, and compliance standardsWhat You BringExperience in software and data engineering (APIs, integrations, ETL/ELT patterns)Strong automation and scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar)Familiarity with working in regulated or data-intensive environmentsA collaborative approach and the ability to build solutions that balance technical rigor with business needs. Proficiency in HROR highly preferredYou will contribute to the design and delivery of efficient, maintainable, and secure software solutions that support Wellmark’s HEDIS data workflows and Technology strategy.
