Local manufacturing company is seeking an CNC Machine Operator.
Operating a CNC machine operator includes:
a. Putting the raw material into the turning center.
b. Pressing the start button to begin the machining process.
c. Inspecting the finished parts to verify it matches its specification. Depending upon the part’s material, part’s tolerance and CNC’s tooling, the inspection frequency varies. At times, every finished part needs inspected.
d. Because tooling wears, the operator is responsible to replace drill bits, inserts, etc. as needed to keep all parts within their specifications.
e. The operator is responsible to ensure the correct number of parts, as specified on the work order, have been machined, or s/he needs to mark on the work order the actual finished count.
f. After machining, some parts need treated with a rust preventative, wrapped for shipping or another post machining step.
g. The operator is responsible to empty the waste chip dumpster.
h. The operator is responsible to keep the machine and area clean.
Previous education or experience not needed.
Pay up to $24/hr DOE
