Responsibilities:
Operation of tools and equipment in a safe manner to accordance with company guidelines and procedures to aid with maintenance and repairs
Performing a variety of skilled duties which may involve inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair
Document, maintain, and update all work performed on provided daily log(s)
Open communication with other employees, production manager and office personnel to efficiently maintain the assets
Maintain a clean and organized shop
Report all purchases with receipt to bookkeeper for recording
Requirements:
Valid Iowa License including a class A CDL endorsement
Must always be insurable with company’s current insurance carrier
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
Must pass the post-employment physical
Knowledge of basic construction and maintenance techniques
Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (including but not limited to; consistently sitting, lifting, and pushing up to 75lbs., reaching, climbing, twisting, crouching, stooping, crawling, and kneeling). This is a physical labor position.
Ability to stand and climb ladders, roofs, and uneven/unstable surfaces
Ability to work in confined spaces and with heights
Strong verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently with little direction or as part of a team
Problem solving skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work nights, overtime, weekends and/or holidays
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Ability to work out of town with overnight stays
Working Conditions:
Exposure to extreme weather conditions
Exposure to high equipment noise
Physically strenuous work
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors
Workers must occasionally work past normal business hours to complete assignments
