We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team in creating high-quality architectural metal pieces. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication, a passion for precision craftsmanship, and the ability to collaborate with a team to meet design specifications and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate architectural metal pieces, including panels, trim, and custom designs.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate and high-quality products.
Operate and maintain sheet metal fabrication tools and equipment, such as shears, brakes, and rollers.
Measure, cut, bend, and assemble metal components.
Conduct quality checks to ensure fabricated components meet design standards.
Collaborate with project managers to refine designs and troubleshoot issues.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to workplace safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication, with a focus on architectural metalwork preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Proficiency with sheet metal tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Knowledge of various metals and their properties, including aluminum, stainless steel, and copper.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Capability to stand, bend, and work for extended periods.
Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to noise, heat, and dust.
