Heartland Millwrights is hiring multiple, full-time-travel Millwrights to work on jobs across the Midwest. We are seeking Millwrights Journeyman – Foreman level. We offer company paid health insurance, LTD, and PTO. Our pay scale depends on 4 primary factors: Years of millwrighting, years of specialty, miscellaneous skills, and certifications; based on what you bring to each category, a payrate will be determined between $25 - $35.
You must have all of the following:
- Minimum 3 years holding the Millwright title
- Willingness to travel 100% of the time
- Set of tools or the funds to purchase them
- Cell phone with texting
- Driver’s License
- Vehicle/transportation, fit for long road trips to and from job sites
- Debit/credit card for booking accommodations
- Approximately $700 for travel expenses to get started
- Ability to communicate in English
You should bring to the table at least some of the following:
- Read & comprehend blueprints
- Read measuring devices, such as tape measure or micrometer
- Utilize layout devices such as lasers, theodolites, transits, string lines, etc.
- Utilize hand & power tools safely and accurately.
- Ability to follow simple instructions, written or verbal
- Pull & plug in low voltage wires and sensors
- Welding a variety of materials, thicknesses, and processes
- Rigging competency
- Fabrication with prints or field engineering.
- Equipment assembly & installation via written instructions
- Install conveying equipment
- Ability to identify system issues and document for follow up
- Comfort with working at heights or depths
- Willingness to work outdoors, including extreme heat or extreme cold
- Personal investment in job safety
- Good hygiene
