COMPANY INFORMATION:
Hawkeye On-Site Vehicle Service Co. is a mobile on-site fleet maintenance organization offering full service, preventative maintenance on customers' light duty gas trucks including up to mid-size commercial diesel trucks is looking for a full or part time mechanic.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Travel to client sites and provide basic maintenance, diagnostic and/or repair services for gas and diesel vehicles and equipment to include: engine diagnostics, inspections, brakes, A/C system, electrical/light service. Most common service calls include scheduled services and repairs; break down response, DOT inspections, and PM services. Customer's vehicles will be transported back to the company shop for more extensive repairs.

MECHANIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-Receive direction and customer schedule from Service Manager
-Perform instructed and scheduled repair, maintenance, and services as needed on various vehicles and equipment as instructed by the Service Manager
-Communicate with customers in a professional manner on job status and schedule status
-Communicate regularly with Service Manager on job status and schedule status
-Maintain service truck in a professional manner
Stock and maintain service truck inventory, tool collection, and all daily paperwork
- Maintain clean and safe work environment
-Adhere to all traffic laws
SHOP MECHANIC REQUIREMENTS:
-Minimum of 1 year experience
-Ability to communicate vehicle issues and understand job assignments
-Ability to prioritize work assignments
-Personal and professional integrity
-Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety
-Flexibility regarding work assignments
-Must be physically able to work on a job site environment for extensive periods to include liftng up to 50 lb, bending squatting, crouching and reaching
-Mechanic must have basic set of mechanic tools
-Must have neat and legible handwriting
-Must have a valid Driver's License
-Company performs random drug testing on all employees
