This position is in Cargill’s food ingredients and bio-industrial business, where we anticipate trends around taste, nutrition and safety to innovate and provide solutions to manufacturers, retailers and foodservice companies.Job Purpose and ImpactThe Facility Infrastructure Project Specialist will plan, coordinate, and execute projects that improve infrastructure readiness, correct present infrastructure deficiencies, and prevent future infrastructure concerns for the Citric Acid department. In this role, you will plan and execute projects to improve the condition of tank and pump bases throughout the department, address deficiencies, improve drainage, correct department safety issues, and address food safety concerns.Key Accountabilities

Plan and execute projects for each asset involved with tank and pump bases containing, controlling, or safeguarding a high hazard process.

Plan and evaluate condition of structural steel and execute projects to address deficiencies as well as projects required by the Citric department’s 5-year roadmap.

Implement, monitor, and maintain best practices to evaluate wall thickness of critical tanks and piping systems.

Monitor capitalized repair and replacement projects, mitigate risk issues, and removes barriers to ensure completion of milestones within budget.

Partner with Project Engineering group on capital projects related to structural improvements and new equipment installation.

Ensure the ongoing mechanical, electrical, and structural integrity of plant equipment.

Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (chemical, mechanical) or equivalent experience

Minimum of two years of related work experience

Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and execute projects, coordinating with multiple disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of two years of experience as a maintenance, process, production, or facility engineer in a chemical manufacturing environment.
