Job Summary
The Care Assistant provides personal care for elderly, convalescent or disabled persons in home or facility settings.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served by Avera@Home.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
Experience in home health care or related health care field preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Nursing assistant certification preferred.
Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
Work ScheduleMonday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; 72hrs/2wksPayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$17.50 - $23.00 per hour
