Job Summary
Provides professional nursing care for patients.
Education and/or Experience
Associates or Bachelor’s Nursing degree.
Basic Life Support required within six months of employment.
Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.
Additional requirements to be obtained within six months of employment per department are as follows:
Med/Surg – Advanced Life Support
Special Care Unit – Advanced Life Support
Emergency Room – Advanced Life Support, PALS, NRP, TNCC
Resource Nurse – Advanced Life Support, PALS, NRP, plus 1-2 years M/S nursing experience.
Previous experience in a health care setting preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the state of Iowa, or Multi-state licensure required.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday; 72 hours every 2 weeks
Day shift
Occasional weekend (Every third weekend of call for the operating room)
Occasional holiday (On call for the operating room)
Occasional call time (Approximately 10 days a month of call)
PayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$31.00 - $46.50 per hour
