The Environmental Services Technician will be responsible for operation and maintenance of manure handling systems at farms in north central Iowa to ensure Prestage Farms compliance with all state and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
ï§ Scheduling and completing tasks related to manure handling and transfer systems at each farm
ï§ Running hydroclean trailer to drain and clean transfer lines and pumps
ï§ Routine maintenance of valves, pumps, scrapers, etc.
ï§ Assist with training and oversight of manure handling systems with site managers
ï§ Routine site inspections and reporting of issues
ï§ Help with other Environmental projects as needed
Requirements:
ï§ Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
ï§ Excellent organizational and time management skills
ï§ Some computer and tablet skills necessary
ï§ Some ability to operate equipment, will train other skills as necessary
ï§ Valid drivers license with good driving record
ï§ Occasionally lift over 50+ pounds, direct contact with animals, climbing over gates, and exposure to manure, dust, odors and noise
