Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionMidwestern bag distributes polypropylene bags and packaging supplies to a number of industries including food and agriculture. The bulk bags are used for containing and shipping products. The Production worker will:
Sort bags by different types and tie the end of bags as tight as possible
Stretch bulk storage bags
Clean and shake out bags, especially food grade bags
Clean and organize work area during and at the end of the day.

Job TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Grimes, Iowa.Work EnvironmentWarehouse setting, team of 5 in the warehouse. It can be pretty cool or hot depending on the season. Very repetitive work so candidates need to be okay with tying bags all day long, every day, for the foreseeable future. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, with some Saturdays during busy times. Average 42 hours/week, 50 hours/week during busy times. Dress code includes jeans and steel-toe boots. Casual attire, such as jeans, t-shirts, and sweatshirts, is acceptable. Gloves and safety glasses must be worn at all times to protect hands from polypropylene and ensure safety. Although teamwork is essential, the culture emphasizes individual productivity. Most workers use iPods, keep their heads down, and focus on their tasks.
