Job Description
Our Hospice Support Specialists provide end-of-life care at the Hospice Home of Johnson County, or as it is also known- The Bird House. The Bird House is a community based nonprofit dedicated to providing compassionate, dignified end-of-life care by focusing on the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of our guests and their loved ones in a peaceful, homelike environment.
Part- time, full-time, and PRN positions are now available.
Hospice Support Specialists are responsible for:
- Companionship
- Personal Cares
- Meal Preparation
- Housekeeping/ Laundry Assistance
- Medication Management
- Working with a team of dedicated professionals to provide the best care possible to our guests.

Prior caregiver experience is required. All applicants must be able to successfully pass multiple background checks. All employees must complete special medication management training as well as additional caregiver training. Employees required to work every other weekend.
