Mixer/Blender Operator

Prepare and mix doughs and fillings in a timely and accurate manner for the production line, contributing to the efficient and safe operation of the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comprehend and follow process control instructions and/or formula recipes and procedures, including completing paperwork related to food safety requirements.
- Responsible for mixing products, ensuring that the correct amounts of raw materials are used in alignment with established recipes and procedures.
- Maintain and uphold all sanitary practices as they pertain to SQF (Safe Quality Foods), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and equipment wash-downs.
- Prepare and scale raw materials for processing with precision.
- Assist in cleaning, maintaining, and inventorying raw material storage areas to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Operate a forklift for the retrieval and handling of raw materials, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed. Certification provided if necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or bakery environment is preferred but not required.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and follow detailed recipe instructions and complete essential paperwork accurately.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus and can enhance communication with team members.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, and multiply on a basic level to manipulate recipe formulas effectively.
Reasoning Ability
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply a methodical approach to carry out step by step instructions.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- No specific certificates, licenses, or registrations are required for this role. Forklift certification is preferred but can be provided on the job.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Regularly required to stand, use hands to handle materials, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to walk and lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Clean, climate-controlled, and teamwork-oriented facility.
- Four-day workweek with 10-hour shifts, 6am – 5pm, (Monday – Thursday) to promote work-life balance.
