Job Summary
Repair heavy duty trucks and related equipment on the trucks
Diagnose and repair/replace various parts/components that have failed or are causing malfunctions on the equipment
Diagnose and repair problems related to hydraulic components, steering systems, and braking system of equipment
Weld necessary components for repair of equipment
Proficiently and safely use shop power and air tools
Provide routine maintenance and service for equipment
Operate service or tow truck with required license
Minimum Qualifications
Two-year college or technical school, six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of mechanical functioning of various components on the equipment
Must be able to read and write in English
Valid class A or B license
Must be able to consistently be able to push, pull, lift, stand and kneel
Work in an environment that includes temperature changes, periodic loud noises and vibrations
