Job DescriptionThis position is eligible for a $3,000 recruitment bonus. The current opening at Iowa Correctional Institution for Women is 1pm-11pm with every other weekend off. Work/life balance is very important to us. We offer 10 hour shift scheduling with 2-3 days off in a row without working more than 3-4 days. This position p erforms Registered Nurse duties in a correctional facility and p erforms professional nursing role similar to outpatient services in the community. Registered nurses participate in the management of the nursing care of patients within a health care environment; provide clinical leadership and assist practitioners; plans and conducts educational sessions, including teaching that requires a registered nursing license; administers medication, triage patient complaints and coordinates the care of residents in a correctional environment with multi-disciplinary team which includes physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, optometrists and dentists. This position is located in Mitchellville at the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women.
